Mentoring

The COVID pandemic has added extra mental health and wellbeing challenges for many students and staff, on top of ay other challenges of life. Talking and working through life’s challenges together can help people manage their feelings, particularly of stress and anxiety.

Mentoring offers students and staff regular opportunities, in safe spaces, to engage and develop socially, morally, spiritually and culturally.

Students are referred for mentoring by school staff for many reasons, including: to promote wellbeing, behavioural issues, problems at home or experiencing bereavement.

Once referred, Mentors meet weekly a one-to-one basis, in school during school hours.
