Hong Kong Ready Welcome

Thousands of people from Hong Kong have arrived in the UK this year and up to 120,000 more are expected to arrive in 2021. This will be the fastest and largest planned migration of people to the UK from outside of Europe since Windrush.

Read more about planned Hong Kong migration.

We see this as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to give hospitality, friendship and hope to these newcomers in our area.

In February, Kwok, Wendi, Sally and Robb attended: ‘Hong Kong Ready Churches’ hosted by Dr Krish Kandiah. It was very encouraging and gave practical advice to churches who want to welcome and support Hong Kong migrants to live permanently in UK.

A few of us will be attending a special follow up event on Zoom. Why not join us?

There are limited spaces so book your place now. By paying for your ticket you are helping to provide the logistical, practical and training needed to equip churches to show the love and compassion of God to new arrivals from Hong Kong.
