A time where we, as community, choose to live simply that others can simply live.
During Soup Week, we eat soup every night and give away the money we would have otherwise spent on food.
Soup is cheap to make and very simple, it can even leave you a bit hungry. In our lives, we have the privilege to choose to live like this for a week, many do not have that choice.
Eating Together
We will be eating together daily.
It’s not always possible to come for the whole evening - and that’s fine. Soup will be served between 6pm - 7:30pm, with people welcome to stay until 8pm daily.
There will also be time each night to pray.

Thurrock Foodbank
Your donation will help Thurrock Foodbank to provide food parcels for local families in crisis.
No one in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why Thurrock Foodbank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
Thurrock Foodbank was set up in 2012 as an initiative of the local churches in the borough. Since opening in July, it has expanded to 10 centres across the borough, operating Tuesday to Saturday to support those in food crisis.
Working with over 50 referral agencies—including the Citizen’s Advice Bureau, healthcare providers, and charities—it ensures support reaches those in greatest need. The foodbank’s success is driven by the dedication of its volunteers and the generosity of Thurrock residents, exemplifying a community united in supporting one another.
