The Extraordinary in the Ordinary
When God draws near, everything changes.
And who does he draw near to? Average, lowly people like you and I.
We get caught up in a story that endures for forever, we get front-row seats to Jesus, and we get to experience a God that reaches out to us.
This Christmas we celebrate a God who so loved us, He came down to earth, to be with ordinary folk and, the Bible says, to bring us life in it’s fullness.
He makes our lives extra-ordinary. He chooses the most unlikely, unworthy, unfit people - by the world’s standards - and makes them His main characters.
My prayer for you this Christmas is this, will you let God draw near to you, will you let him whisper hope into you, will you say as Mary said, “Let it be to me, as you have said” and will you let him turn your world upside down.
I promise you it will be the best thing you’ll ever do.
